there are common steps for earthquakes, tsunami and vol eruption
1. magma current (converging/ diverging/ lateral movement)
2. plate movement (XX and YY plates move toawrd/ apart/ slide pass each other) along destructive/ constructive/ conservative plate boundary
3. force (compressional/ tensional/ shear)
4. any subduction ? (only destructive plate boundary, OC vs CC/ OC vs OC will hv)
above= common steps
hence
earthquake
5. stress increases, when stress exceed strength of rock, faulting occur (reverse/ normal/ tear)
6. earthquake occur and energy release in form of seismic wave
tsunami need to continue
7. the energy released from epicentrer stip up wave at middle of sea
8. the wave travel towards coast, sea bed become shallower, friction increases
9. wave height increase and wave length reduce, tsunmia occur
volcanic eruption = from step 1-4 +
5. pressure increases, line of weakness widened into cracks to release pressure
6. magma rise up through crack onto earth surface
7. lava cool and solidifies, volcanic eruption takes place
