Questions About GDP (tax&rental income)

Is rental income included in GDP?

Is tax revenue included in GDP?

thanks

Also, why would dividend & interest be included in GDP? Aren't they the capital gain of investment that dont involve any production?

Rental income is included in GDP. Because it represents the value of the provision of service of the RPU.
Tax revenue is not included in GDP. Because no value of production of current year is involved in the tax revenue.
Dividend is a return to the shareholders. Shareholders are in fact entrepreneurs of the company. And entrepreneurship is considered as a factor of production. Hence dividend is a value of the shareholder's production. Hence it should be counted in GDP.

The government will estimate the value of self-owned properties and take into account these values when calculating GDP.
